Death of an inmate from Archambault institution

On July 25, 2018, Jean-Claude Robin, an inmate from Archambault institution died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.

At the time of his death, Mr. Robin, 72 years old, had been serving a sentence of 2 years, 2 months and 9 days for sexual assault and indecent acts.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
