Recapture of inmate from Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on November 13, 2018, inmate Joely Lambourn was apprehended by the Gleichen, Alberta Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

This inmate had been unlawfully at large from Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge, a multi-level security federal institution, since November 9, 2018.

CSC is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff, and public remains the highest priority in the operations of the federal correctional system.
