Death of an inmate at Pacific Institution

February 11, 2019 – Abbotsford, British Columbia – Correctional Service Canada

On February 10, 2019, Peter Brady Warren Saul, an inmate from Pacific Institution died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.

At the time of his death, Mr. Saul, 55 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for first-degree murder since February 17, 1989.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
