Lockdown at Joyceville Institution – Assessment unit

March 5, 2020 – Kingston, Ontario – Correctional Service Canada
On March 4, 2020, a lockdown was put in place in the Assessment unit at Joyceville Institution to resolve a workplace health and safety issue.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is working to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
Visits have been suspended.
The safety and security of the institutions is the Correctional Service of Canada's (CSC) primary concern. Normal operations will resume as soon as it is considered safe to do so.
