Death of an inmate from Bath Institution – Regional Treatment Centre

On August 21, 2020, William Cummer, an inmate from Bath Institution, died while in our custody.

At the time of his death, Mr. Cummer had been serving a sentence of 12 years and 27 days for Robbery, Break and Enter, Possess Weapon and Utter Threats since November 8, 2016.

Correctional Service Canada policy requires that the coroner be notified. The inmate’s next of kin have also been notified.
