Death of an inmate from Millhaven Institution – Regional Treatment Centre

On October 30, 2020, Patrick Pirozzi, an inmate from Millhaven Institution, Regional Treatment Centre, died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.                                                                                                             

At the time of his death, Mr. Pirozzi, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for Assault (X9), Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm (X3), Cause Disturbance, Indecent Assault Female and Theft over $200, since his sentence commenced May 4, 1987.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
