Death of an inmate from Millhaven Institution – Regional Treatment Centre

July 6, 2021 – Kingston, Ontario – Correctional Service Canada

On July 3, 2021, Jimmy Partridge, an inmate from Millhaven Institution’s Regional Treatment Centre, died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.

At the time of their death, the inmate had been serving an indeterminate sentence for sexual assault and breach of recognizance to keep peace, which commenced on May 11, 2009.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.  

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
