Death of an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary

November 30, 2021 – Dorchester, New Brunswick – Correctional Service Canada

On November 27, 2021, Glen Farrow, an inmate in the minimum security unit of Dorchester Penitentiary, died while in our custody of apparent natural causes.

At the time of death, the inmate had been serving a sentence of 12 years, 3 months and 29 days for manslaughter since September 18, 2018.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
