Escape and recapture of an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary minimum security unit

On August 12, 2023, at 3 p.m., the minimum-security unit at Dorchester Penitentiary was notified that Robert Legge walked away from the property and he was apprehended immediately by Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) staff. CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident.
