Recapture of inmate from Archambault Institution – Minimum-security unit

November 9, 2024 – Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec – Correctional Service Canada

At approximately 10:10 a.m. on November 9, 2024, Martin Ethier was apprehended by the Saint-Jérôme Police Department.

This inmate had been unlawfully at large from the minimum-security unit of Archambault Institution since November 8, 2024.

The Correctional Service of Canada is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
