Return to work at Correctional Service Canada
A return to work (RTW) program is a workplace’s framework to support employees that are absent due to injury or illness. It also offers help when they are ready to come back to the workplace.
CSC follows the process of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety.
If you are returning to work
As soon as you have medical clearance to return to work, discuss your return with your manager. You may wish to include a union representative in the conversation.
Take it slowly. It's possible you won't be able to pick up where you left off. If you take on too much right away, you risk needing to go back on leave.
