Service Standards for Transfer Payment Programs

A service standard is a public commitment to measure the level of performance that clients can expect under normal circumstances.

Finance Canada is committed to adhering to the following service standards for its transfer payment programs:

These service standards publicly state the level of performance that clients can reasonably expect to receive under normal circumstances. The achievement of these service standards is a shared responsibility and is dependent upon the submission of all required and complete documentation to Finance Canada in a timely fashion. The results can fluctuate from a program to another based on the nature of the program delivery established.

These service standards apply only to applications received by, and agreements directly managed by, Finance Canada.

1. Indigenous Participant Funding Program Service Standards: 2020-2021

These service standards apply to applications received by, and agreements directly managed by Finance Canada under the Indigenous Participant Funding Program.

Acknowledgement of Receipt of Application and/or Proposal

Finance Canada will acknowledge receipt of an application and/or a proposal within three business days of the date received by the Department, 90% of the time.

Providing Funding Decision

Finance Canada will issue an official written notification of the funding decision, within thirty business days of the successful fulfillment of requirements as outlined in the participant funding application, 90% of the time.

Issuing Final Payment

Finance Canada will issue payments within thirty business days of the successful fulfillment of requirements as outlined in the contribution agreement, 90% of the time.
