Biographical Notes – Jennifer Reynolds
Backgrounder
Ms. Jennifer Reynolds was first appointed to the Board of the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV) in June 2015.
Her more than 25-year career has spanned various areas of the financial services industry and has included senior roles in investment banking, venture capital, global risk management, and M&A transactions.
She currently serves as CEO of the Women Corporate Directors Foundation, the world's largest network of women corporate board directors. In addition, Ms. Reynolds is a director of BF&M Insurance Group Ltd., Agrinam Acquisition Corporation, and the Women’s College Hospital Foundation, and on the Advisory Council for the Institute for Sustainable Finance.
Ms. Reynolds was previously President and CEO of Toronto Finance International, a public-private partnership which promotes and develops Canada’s financial services sector. From 2013 through 2017, she was the President and CEO of Women in Capital Markets, the largest network of professional women in the Canadian financial sector, and has been an active advocate and supporter of the advancement of women in the industry throughout her career.
She also previously served on the board of Citibank Canada, was Co-Chair of the UN-convened Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S), and has held executive roles with BMO, Scotiabank, and OMERS.
Ms. Reynolds is a certified corporate director (ICD.D), a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program, and holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from McGill University. In 2015 and 2017, she was named a Women's Executive Network Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner.
