Cpl Ryan Rucksthul: We were sitting there and I was like: "Yah, like you know… When in Italy, have pasta!". And everyone was like: "Ya, ya, ya." And two seconds later they were like: "Ryan, we're in Spain." And I was like "Oh my god, we're in Spain?"
Cpl Ryan Ruckstuhl: Hi, I'm Corporal Ryan Ruckstuhl. I'm an Aviation Systems Technician, currently posted to 437 Squadron as a Flight Attendant. We're currently on a Polaris, and we're here for the 60 Seconds Challenge. Let's get into it!
"Why did you apply to be a Flight Attendant?"
Apparently, my energy levels are way too high to be an AVN tech, and I was definitely pushed towards Flight Attendant. And honestly, it's been the most fun I'd ever had.
"Favourite memory while working as a Flight Attendant?"
It's definitely Sandra Oh being on the aircraft, and she got to tell me to call her "Sandy." Hah!
"Why did you join the CAF?"
Honestly, I just really wanted to help people, and it's led me here, so it works out.
"Most challenging aspect to being a Flight Attendant?"
It's definitely downplaying how much fun I'm having on the road to my family and friends, specifically my wife.
"What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone thinking of becoming a flight attendant in the CAF?"
It's the best job in the CAF in my opinion. Honestly, if you're not doing it, you're missing out, so hurry up and apply.
"Most popular plane meal?"
I wish we had "Thunder Crunches", but chicken tots and chicken fingers will do for now. And they are the best!
And that is all.
