CWO McCann: What meal would you have every day for the rest of your life?
Probably pizzaghetti. You know, I love spaghetti and I love pizza. When you put them both together, it’s a match made in heaven.

CWO McCann: Hey everyone! I’m the Canadian Armed Forces Chief Warrant Officer, and I’m ready to take the 60 Second Challenge.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
One of my mentors told me, “Don’t chase promotion. Take care of people and your career will take care of itself”.
Why did you join the CAF?
I wanted to drive trucks, buses, and I wanted to remove snow. I joined for three years, but I fell in love with the people and stayed for 35 years now.
What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?
You’d be surprised to learn that I’m somewhat of an introvert.
What would you tell someone who is considering joining the Canadian Armed Forces?
I would tell you join now, now is the time. But if you’re looking for something that you’re going to be challenged and going to have to bring your best self to work every day, go out to a recruiting centre, fill out the application, and join the team.
How do you practice self-care after a long day?
Now again, it’s eating healthy, exercising, spending quality time with family, with loved ones, and taking time to do stuff you like to do.
What’s the most rewarding part of being the CAF Chief?
I get to represent all of you on a daily basis, and I get to go around and see the great work that our members do.
I’m the CAF Chief, and this was my 60 Second Challenge.
