You have a strobe light for emergencies.

(Offscreen) Sorry brother.

I'm Sailor First Class Betts. I've been at FDU(A) for two years now and this is what I use on a daily basis when we're diving. We have our reg set. This is our AGA, which is just a full face dive mask. You also have your secondary in case of an emergency, and then you also have a pressure gauge as well. So this is our BC, which stands for buoyancy compensator. On the front, you have an emergency knife up here, you have a strobe light which you can use when you're in an emergency situation on the surface, and if it's dark out, they can see from the boat.

You also have your inflation whip. You use that to add air to the BC as necessary.

This is my personal wet suit. You wear it in the water, it keeps you warm throughout the day.

These here are my fins, use that to swim around. Along with that I have half mask which I can choose to wear if I want to and then I have a depth gauge which tells me where I'm at within the water line. Whenever you're diving, you'll be wearing a safety harness and on the front you can hook on a lifeline. Usually that's attached to a float or you're being tended by another diver. And then you also have a leg knife, and this is just kind of your daily, whatever you need to get done sort of knife.

You also have the option to wear a dry suit. It really comes down to personal preference or if you're working in waters where there's the hazard of contamination, and that's my gear.
