(Chelsey) Hi, I’m Chelsey Rothwell for Defence Team News.

We recently caught-up with Chief Warrant Officer Yannick Godbout, deployed on Task Force Latvia, under Op REASSURANCE, to discuss how these new realities have affected his interactions with colleagues and to see what his team is doing to ensure mission success while staying socially connected.

(CWO Godbout) Personally, COVID-19 changed my whole life. Like everybody else, we all have to stay home, we have to be in isolation in order to prevent the spread of this virus.

But I’m not alone. I know that. And like everybody else, we have alternative means of communication, such as phone, email, video conference, and so on.

This virus will not stop us from accomplishing our mission here in Latvia. That’s for sure.
