Transcript

(Shelley) Defence Team members can celebrate Canada Day virtually this year.

On July 1, keep a lookout on the Canadian Armed Forces social media accounts for a virtual performance of O Canada by CAF musicians. Additionally, the Canadian Army will re-broadcast last year’s installment of Fortissimo, their annual military musical spectacular.

Families can find various online activities on the Canadian Heritage website and watch the Canadian Heritage social media accounts for both a daytime and evening livestream, which will include footage of the CAF’s very own Skyhawks and Snowbirds as part of the show’s “Discovery” content capsule.

Before we go, a virtual change of command ceremony recently took place between National Defence Headquarters–Carling in Ottawa and Canadian Forces Base Borden.

Bravo Zulu to the outgoing commander of Canadian Forces Recruiting Group Colonel Luc Sabourin and incoming commander Captain(Navy) Pascal Belhumeur.

This marks the first official change of command ceremony where the outgoing and incoming commanders were separated by 450 km.
