(Question) Why do you think teamwork and collaboration are so important in a healthy workplace?

(PERSON 1) So, personally, I feel it’s just good to collaborate with others so that you can share your thoughts and ideas and find the appropriate way forward. Not every course of action is going to work in every situation. But when you work together with others, you can collaborate with your ideas, and then find appropriate ways that, maybe bring in their experiences, as well as yours.

(PERSON 2) When we come to work, we’re extending into, you know… going into an extended family. And so, being able to rely on our colleagues that we work with on a daily basis is, like, really important to get through those tough times.

(PERSON 3) I really think it’s important to be able to trust the people that you surround yourself with every single day. We spend almost the majority of our time, like, with our colleagues, and being able to trust people and build the… like, you know, teamwork and collaborative atmosphere is really important for being able to just know mentally that you’re okay and you’re not alone.

(PERSON 4) I think when people collaborate and work as a team, there’s less people struggling against each other, more… "teamwork makes the dream work".

(Question) What strategies or practices do you use to stay resilient during tough times at work?

(PERSON 5) I think resiliency is key, and to foster that and to work on that, I think it’s just staying positive, staying organized, and just expressing how you’re feeling. You know, like, don’t get too far ahead of yourself, and just kind of do one thing at a time.

(PERSON 6) Definitely relying on your coworkers…yeah, to get you through those tough times. Holding it in is not the best way. So, find someone that you can confide in and have that conversation. And if you need to go talk to Mental Health, then you go talk to Mental Health.

(PERSON 4) I guess, like, it’s good to take a little break from your workstation, like go for a little walk or go talk to someone. Maybe, like, speak to them about whatever issues you’re having. I find that really helps.

(PERSON 3) Stepping away from a problem sometimes, if I feel overwhelmed. Also, just opening up, talking to my chain of command. Like, if I feel like I really need that… Being open and honest is kind of the strategy that I would say I would employ if I’m in one of those situations.
