Getting answers on civilian employee performance management – one point of contact for client service

July 21, 2020 – Defence Stories

Performance management involves setting objectives, assessing progress and providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure that employees are meeting their objectives as well as those of the organization. Managing performance in the context of remote work or business resumption can pose unique challenges and support is available to both managers and employees who are looking for additional guidance.

You can contact HR Connect RH (link accessible only on the National Defence network) online or by phone at 1-833-RHR-MDND (1-833-747-6363) for all performance management related question as your first point of contact.

Based on the nature of your question, the HR Connect RH team will assess complexity and either:

  1. provide the answer to you directly;
  2. guide you to the appropriate tool (guide, website, HR Go App); or
  3. forward you to a HR Centre of Expertise (CoE) positional mailbox to be addressed by an Advisor who is a subject matter expert in the area of Performance and Talent Management policies and programs, Learning, Labour Relations, Executive Services or the PSPM App.

In addition to HR Connect RH, we encourage you to consult the HR GO RH App or Canada.ca which provides additional information and resources for both managers and employees.

Following best practices for performance management during this time will support how we all can contribute to the Defence Team in the most effective way possible. We look forward to hearing your questions!
