Managers: Vacancy Management Exercise

Director, Civilian Classification and Organization (DCCO) is continuing work on eliminating vacant and unfunded positions to achieve clean data, as per the Deputy Minister’s direction.
All positions that have been vacant for 18 months without active staffing plans will be eliminated on a monthly basis. DCCO produces quarterly dashboards for L1 comptrollers and HR points of contact to proactively eliminate positions that are approaching this 18 months vacancy deadline.
It’s critical that managers let their staffing advisors know well in advance if they’re planning on staffing a position. Staffing will create a job opening for the position so it doesn’t get deleted during the monthly vacancy management exercise.
Did DCCO eliminate a position that you needed to staff? Simply send an email to E-Class with the deleted position number. DCCO will work with staffing and no additional work is required from managers.
