Phoenix compensation agreement for PSAC members

November 3, 2020 - Defence Stories

The Government of Canada and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) have finalized a joint agreement to compensate current and former employees who have been impacted by the Phoenix pay system.

Full details on the agreement are now available on the Canada.ca website. The additional $2,500 in general compensation for damages incurred by the Phoenix pay system and compensation for the late implementation of the 2014 collective agreements will be paid to you through the regular pay process. More information on when and how to submit a claim for the additional compensation outlined in this agreement will also be shared with you in the coming months.

The government continues to take action on all fronts to stabilize the Phoenix pay system and to work with public service unions to develop the Next Generation HR and Pay System, the long-term replacement to Phoenix.

I will continue to keep you updated on the implementation of this agreement and also invite you visit the Phoenix Damages website or contact HR Connect RH (1-833-747-6363) or union representative if you have any questions.

Thank you.
