Introducing the Defence Lessons Learned System

What: The Department of National Defence is set to replace its’ Lessons Learned Knowledge Management System (LLKMS) with the Defence Lessons Learned System (DLLS).  This is a cutting-edge web application where you can manage the Lessons Learned (LL) cycle, share LL information easily across the department, and identify change requirements - all in one spot.

Why: Simply put, to modernize the Lessons Learned system and to be more user friendly!

When: Most DND/CAF organizations are expected to adopt DLLS as their primary lessons learned tool between late 2020 and summer 2021.

Who: The DLLS is available to all Defence Team members.

Where: Anyone with a DWAN account will be able to search DLLS or submit an “Observation” or “Support Material”.

How: As part of the adoption process the project team will work with each organization to ensure that they are ready to start using the DLLS toolset, and that both current and historical LL data is captured.
