Disability Inclusion: Micro-Learning Videos

June 1st, 2021 - Defence Stories

Over the past year, the School, in partnership with the Office of Public Service Accessibility, key partners and public servants with disabilities, have been developing micro-learning videos to support the federal public service in implementing the Accessible Canada Act and the Accessibility Strategy for the Public Service of Canada. On International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3, 2020), the School launched new videos on disability inclusion. They highlight the daily barriers faced by people with disabilities, and what public servants can do to reduce, remove and report barriers in order to foster an inclusive public service.

These three short videos embody the Nothing Without Us principle and demonstrate that the #FutureIsAccessible. We must be inclusive from the start in order to make the public service accessible. Make your everyday actions count!

As we prepare for National AccessAbility Week (May 31 to June 5, 2021) with the theme of Disability Inclusion 2021: Leaving No One Behind, I encourage you to watch these videos and distribute them within your organization.
