Administrative changes to Disability Insurance and Public Service Management Insurance Plan improvements to the claims process

This is to inform you that the two following Information Notices have been posted by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. These replace the Information Notices: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Guidance for managers for the Disability Insurance (DI) Plan and Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims under the Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP), as some temporary measures have now been made permanent:

  1. Administrative changes to disability benefit claims under the Disability Insurance Plan, which provides information on the permanent administrative improvements to the DI claims process.
  2. Improvements to the Public Service Management Insurance Plan Long-Term Disability claims process, which provides information on the permanent administrative improvements to the claims process, as well as the introduction of modernized and digitized forms and a new Industrial Alliance PSMIP-LTD webpage.
