In recognition of Black History Month, the Defence Team Black Employees Network (DTBEN) will be hosting a celebratory event on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

The event will not only be collectively highlighting the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce, and celebrating the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians, but will also be officially launching the establishment of the Defence Team Black Employees Network.

In addition to having the opportunity to see renowned Black Canadian artists and influencers perform, Defence Team leaders, including General Wayne Eyre, Chief of the Defence Staff, Bill Matthews, Deputy Minister of National Defence, Chief Petty Officer First Class Gilles Grégoire, along with members of the Defence Visible Minority Advisory Group, will be sharing their thoughts on What does this year’s theme “February and Forever: Celebrating Black History today and every day” mean to them?
