Hiring managers: Check out the new work streams in the military spouse employment inventory!
February 7, 2022 - Defence Stories
Frequent relocations cause spousal employment disruptions, which can lead to military members releasing from the forces early. The Military Spouse Employment Initiative (MSEI) (accessible only on the National Defence network) helps military spouses secure meaningful career opportunities nationally and in remote locations.
This is why we’ve added new work streams to capture the experience of the spouses who have applied and to meet the needs of hiring managers across the Public Service.
The work streams in the inventory include:
- Information Technology Specialists
- Programmers and Developers
- General Labour and Trades
- Health Services – including Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers and others
- Engineering Technologists
- Communications/Public Relations
- Office Administration – including General, Human Resources, Executive Assistants and others
- Teaching/Education Professionals – including Second Language Teachers, Educational Advisors and others
- Procurement Services OR Materiel Management
- General Services - Including Food Services, Stores Services, Cleaning Services and others
- Social Science Services - including Economics, Statistics and others
- Human Resource Specialists
The MSEI employment inventory includes talented, educated individuals wanting to make a difference, and become long-term serving public servants.
Hiring is quick and easy when using the Military Spouse Employment Initiative! To get started, visit the Military Spouse Employment Initiative website today! If you have any questions, please contact the MSEI Team.
Spread the word! If you know a military spouse who could benefit from this initiative, please encourage them to apply to the inventory!
