In workplaces, communities, and personal circles, fostering a sense of belonging creates a foundation for psychological safety, empathy, and engagement, which contributes to mental and emotional well-being.

A sense of belonging goes beyond merely being part of a community or group. It means being heard, appreciated, and accepted for who you are. A sense of belonging fosters unity, trust, and collaboration among team members. It enhances morale, mental well-being, and resilience, enabling individuals to overcome challenges more effectively. Belonging also encourages open communication and mutual respect, which are vital in high-stakes environments. In the CAF, leaders are responsible for fostering this sense of belonging- this article provides tips on how to achieve that.
