Public Service Employee Survey detailed results are now available

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat has released the 2024 Public Service Employee Survey (PSES) results at the departmental and Level One (L1) organization levels.
Within the Department of National Defence (DND), these results have been broken down by theme and are available through departmental and Assistant Deputy Minister/organizational (L1) dashboards, with additional breakdowns at the Director General (L2) and Directorate (L3) levels. You are encouraged to review these results and use them to support discussions on strengthening our organizational culture, addressing areas of concern, and building on our successes. L1s should consider the PSES results an invaluable source of information to consult as they develop their human resource, culture evolution, and business plans.
It is important to view these results from multiple perspectives—both the ratings themselves and how DND compares to other federal departments and the public service. Overall, DND’s results are closely aligned with those of the broader public service.
The PSES results play a key role in shaping how we lead our teams and address our corporate priorities. DND will continue to draw on the 2024 survey results as indicators of progress and opportunities for improvement.
Next steps include obtaining the breakdown of data by employment equity group and analysing it to inform the next iterations of the Employment Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EEDI) plan for public servants, Culture Evolution Strategy, and more.
