Celebrated annually, National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of persons with disabilities, highlight the work underway to remove barriers, and reflect on how we can continue building a more accessible and inclusive workplace.

A virtual Government of Canda-wide event will be held on Monday, June 1 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. (EDT) hosted by the Chief Human Resources Officer (Treasury Board Secretariat) and the Canada School of Public Service. The theme is: Advancing Accessibility by Removing Barriers.

The event celebrates the leadership and contributions of individuals with disabilities and organizations advancing accessibility within the federal public service. Panelists will showcase progress and offer practical steps for everyone to promote accessibility and disability inclusion, and participants will leave with a better understanding of how they can support accessibility and disability inclusion in the workplace.

This bilingual event for NAAW is open to all public service employees and Canadian Armed Forces members. Interpretation in both official languages, American Sign Language (ASL), and Langue des signes Québécoise (LSQ) will be provided, along with Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services.
