Operation CARIBBE Major Drug Offload

December 7, 2018 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Edmonton will participate in a major offload of cocaine in San Diego. The drug was seized in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, during Operation CARIBBE 2018. This has been the second best year for drug busts on Op CARIBBE with the Canadian Armed Forces disrupting the trafficking of over 17,000 kg of illicit drugs.

Rear-Admiral Bob Auchterlonie, Commander Maritime Forces Command, Lieutenant-Commander Kristina Gray, Commanding Officer HMCS Edmonton, and Lieutenant-Commander Jason Bergen, Commanding Officer HMCS Nanaimo will be available for Dejero double-ender interviews or phone interviews.

Time: 9:30 am to 11:00 am (PST)

What: Individual phone or Dejero interviews with Canadian and American senior leadership and deployed Commanding Officers.
