Media Availability with Commander Air Task Force – Romania

Media are invited to participate in one-on-one telephone interviews with the Air Task Force – Romania (ATF-Romania) Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Forrest Rock.

Media are invited to participate in one-on-one telephone interviews with the Air Task Force – Romania (ATF-Romania) Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Forrest Rock.  

On January 1, 2020, ATF-Romania will conclude its four-month deployment. ATF-Romania is the air component of Operation REASSURANCE, Canada’s contribution to NATO assurance and deterrence measures in Central and Eastern Europe.

As part of Block 51 for the NATO enhanced Air-Policing mission in Romania, the Canadian Armed Forces deployed 135 members and five CF-188 Hornets to augment the air policing capabilities of the Romanian Air Force.

When: 7 am to 11 am EST on January 3, 2020.

What: Media will be given the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interviews over phone with Lieutenant-Colonel Rock about ATF-Romania and the conduct of their operations over the last four months.
