Media Availability with Commander Air Task Force – Romania

Media are invited to participate in one-on-one telephone or Zoom interviews with the Air Task Force - Romania Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel David McLeod.  

On December 31^st, 2020, Air Task Force – Romania (ATF-Romania) will conclude its four-month deployment. ATF-Romania is the air component of Operation REASSURANCE, Canada’s contribution to NATO assurance and deterrence measures in Central and Eastern Europe.

As part of the of the Block 54 of NATO enhanced Air-Policing mission in Romania, ATF-Romania’s specific mission, the Canadian Armed Forces deployed 135 members and six CF-188 Hornets to augment the air policing capabilities of the Romanian Air Force.

When: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. EDT on January 5 and January 6, 2020.

What: Media will be given the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interviews over phone or  Zoom with Lieutenant-Colonel McLeod about Air Task Force-Romania and the conduct of their operations over the last four months.
