Technical briefing on support measures for survivors of sexual misconduct and culture change initiatives

December 15, 2021 – Ottawa, Ontario – Department of National Defence (DND) / Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
Media are invited to a technical briefing on the DND/CAF efforts to address conduct and culture change. The briefing will focus on supports for survivors of sexual misconduct within the DND/CAF and will also offer information about culture change initiatives.
Lieutenant-General Jennie Carignan, Chief, Professional Conduct and Culture (CPCC) will provide an overview of the Department’s approach to conduct and culture change and highlight the work currently underway. Dr. Denise Preston, Executive Director of the Sexual Misconduct Response Centre (SMRC) will provide information regarding the expansion of the Sexual Misconduct Response Centre and a number of additional support programs.
