Detachment Geilenkirchen (GK)

Remote Site Health Services

Primary Care and Emergency/Urgent Care services are accessed through your Host Nation/NATO Medical Facility, or Public/Private Health Care Centre on and as needed basis

A telephone consult with a CAF Clinician at Det GK should be arranged following medical appointments to update your medical file, and review subsequent treatment plans.

Except for Emergency situations, Specialist Medical consultations must be approved by a Det GK Clinician regardless of recommendation or referral by a Primary Care provider.  This is required for verification of CAF Spectrum of Care coverage and approval for medical travel.

Admission to the Hospital requires notification to Chain of Command.  If required, Medical authorities will be notified and prepared to support.
