CTC Services

Canteen Services

The canteen provides a social atmosphere where you can relax after a long day of training. Light refreshments, a variety of food products, souvenirs, and various laundry items are available at the cadet canteen for purchase by cadets.

Laundry

Laundry facilities and detergent are available to all cadets at no cost.

Irons and ironing boards are available for use.

Accommodations

Cadets will be housed in shared dormitory-style barracks. Cadets are provided with a bunk-style bed and locker for storing personal items. Washrooms are located within the sleeping accommodations.

All accommodations are gender-specific.

Visitor Access

Access to HMCS Ontario / RMCC is restricted to authorized personnel only. Visitors will be required to produce Government-issued photo identification.

Anyone wishing to visit a cadet or take them off base must complete the Time-Off Authorization and Consent Form (You are now leaving Canada.ca. Link accessible only on the Cadet365 SharePoint) and return it to the Cadet Training Centre.

Guests attending special ceremonies or course graduations will be required to produce photo identification upon arrival at the training centre.

Medical

CTC medical services will be available 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.

Medical services required outside this time will be assessed and taken to community health services.

Cadets who become ill or injured during authorized CCO Activities (Cadet Activity) are eligible for certain health and dental care entitlements, further information can be found here: Medical Care for Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers.

Course Specifics

Cadets attending Sail or Ship’s Boat Operator Courses

Cadets should bring water shoes or a secondary pair of running shoes.
