Vernon CTC Joining Instructions
Laundry
Laundry service is available to all cadets at least once per week at no
Staff Cadets can choose to do their own laundry in facilities provided during non-training hours, they will require their own detergent. Irons and ironing boards are available for use.
Canteen
The canteen provides a social atmosphere where you can relax after a long day of training. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase. Depending on availability, you may also purchase toiletries, polish, souvenirs, etc. Prices are modest and any proceeds are put back into the CTC to benefit the cadets.
Accommodations
Vernon is a World War Two era training centre with H block style accommodations. These buildings consist of two long wings for sleeping areas connected to a common washroom and shower area. Each wing could have up to 26 bunk beds for a total of 52 cadets per wing. There are limited electrical outlets for personal devices and cadets should be prepared to share the limited charging environment.
Visitor Access
Access to Vernon CTC is restricted to authorized personnel only. Visitors will be required to pre-arrange pick-up and produce Government-issued photo identification at the reception centre upon arrival. Parking is available in the lot located west of Highway 97 and south of 15th Avenue. Access for visitors will be on foot only, through the tunnel. Guests are directed to the reception centre located immediately to the right in building B35. Guests will not be permitted vehicle access.

Visitors: Park in Visitor parking lot. Walk through tunnel south of parking lot and check in at Building B35 reception.
Cadets attending Expedition Courses
Cadets should bring water shoes or a secondary pair of running shoes. Quick dry clothing is recommended for comfort.
Cadets attending Fitness Courses
Cadets should bring extra sports clothing; quick dry is recommended for comfort.
