Score Variance

1. The score variance between the highest and lowest scoring Board Member is limited to a variance of no more than 10%. Where the variance of scores exceeds these parameters, Board Members must reconcile the scores by reviewing the scoring criteria together and discuss the rationale for the individual scores they awarded. During the discussion, scores are to be adjusted upward or downward as appropriate to reflect the observations of fellow Board Members. Of note, scores do not need to be identical, merely within the allowed 10% variance.

Minimum Scores

2. Applicants must achieve at least 70% for required experience and qualifications and during the interview phase in order to proceed to the recommendation phase. This is not an accumulative average of 70%. Applicants must obtain 70% in experience and qualifications and the interview phase, unless the selection board provides substantiation to move an applicant to the next phase.
