- 3.1 RDAs are region-level training activities, designed to provide cadets with enriched opportunities that supplement the corps/squadron programs. RDAs are conducted by the RCSU and funded by CJCR Gp.
- 3.2 The conduct of RDAs is dependent on overall resource availability. The Comd CJCR Gp may impose annual limitations, constraints, and restraints, on the conduct of RDAs for any given fiscal year.
- 3.3 RDAs will be prescribed by the Comd CJCR Gp in the yearly Operation Plan: Cadet Program, and are divided into three categories:
- mandatory, which must be planned and delivered. These activities include common and elemental training opportunities;
- discretionary, which may be planned and delivered, and are selected to tailor the overall Cadet Program to match regional interests and capitalize on regional opportunities and resources; and
- optional, which may be planned and delivered based on available resources and regional opportunities. These activities fall outside of those listed in the yearly Operation Plan: Cadet Program.
