Four innovative Îles-de-la-Madeleine businesses will be able to pursue their expansion

Over $819,000 in financial support for Total Océan, LA renaissance des Îles, La Fille de la mer, savonnerie artisanale, and l’île imagin’air
November 4, 2017 – L’Étang-du-Nord, Quebec – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (DEC)
With the help of financial assistance for projects that will generate a total investment of more than $5,200,000 in the region, four Îles-de-la-Madeleine businesses will be able to start up their operations, increase their production capacity or modernize their facilities.
These repayable contributions were announced today by the Honorable Diane Lebouthillier, MP for Gaspésie–Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Minister of National Revenue, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED.
The four recipients are: Total Océan, LA renaissance des Îles, La Fille de la mer, savonnerie artisanale and l’île imagin’air. They will receive a total of $819,410 in financial assistance from CED, in the form of repayable contributions.
Provided by the Government of Canada under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program, the funding will allow the businesses to go ahead with projects involving expansion, productivity enhancement, the start‑up of production or the acquisition of new equipment.
