Over 150 jobs created in four thriving Laurentides-region companies

Foliot Furniture, PAMA Manufacturing, Trica and HUWIZ Solutions receive a total of $1.8 million from the Government of Canada to ensure their continued growth

February 19, 2018 – Saint-Jérôme, Quebec – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

In order to create and market innovative products, businesses need to be able to rely on adequate resources. To this end, the Government of Canada is committed to supporting innovative Canadian businesses. A driving force of the economy, innovation is the key to success, generating growth that benefits both businesses and communities.

The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, announced that Foliot Furniture Inc., 8083851 Canada Inc. (PAMA Manufacturing), Trica Inc. and HUWIZ Solutions Inc. had been granted a total of $1,800,000 in financial assistance, in the form of repayable contributions.

The announcement, which took place at Foliot Furniture, was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED.

The funding provided under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program will allow the recipient businesses to carry out projects involving the enhancement of production capacity and productivity, innovation-based marketing, and equipment acquisition. In addition, over 150 high-quality jobs are expected to be created for middle-class Canadians.
