Government of Canada supports expansion projects of four Coaticook businesses

Atelier M.G., Microbrasserie Coaticook, Meubles Gober and Bio-Bon: ensuring growth and contributing to the region’s economic development
April 11, 2018 – Coaticook, Quebec – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
Businesses need to be able to rely on adequate resources to create and commercialize innovative products. The Government of Canada has adopted an ambitious plan to support entrepreneurial vitality through concrete initiatives generating growth that benefits businesses and communities.
With support totalling $410,890, Atelier M.G. (website in French only), Microbrasserie Coaticook (website in French only), Meubles Gober and Bio-Bon (website in French only) have initiated investment projects evaluated at nearly $1.1 million, helping create nine jobs in the area. The financial support has enabled them to expand, notably through the acquisition of new production equipment.
The announcement was made by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Member of Parliament for Compton–Stanstead and Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED.
The funding has been granted in the form of repayable contributions through CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program and has helped the recipient businesses meet their growth objectives.
