Équipement NAD Inc. and Les Ateliers B.G. are two innovative and growing SMEs located in the Eastern Townships. To maintain their momentum and continue growing, they will receive repayable contributions totalling $425,000 from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.

With $150,000 in financial support, Équipement NAD (NAD Klima), a manufacturer of new air diffuser technologies, will be able to purchase equipment and software as well as make leasehold improvements that will double its production space. This initiative will boost sales and competitiveness and generate seven new jobs by 2019.

For its part, Les Ateliers B.G., a company specializing in precision machining, welding, painting and assembly for the industrial market, will receive $275,000 in financial assistance to equip itself with robotic welding and handling equipment. This project will enable the company to improve its performance, improve its productivity, increase its production capacity and eventually create 10 jobs.

The funding was announced today by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Member of Parliament for Compton—Stanstead and Minister of International Development. The financial assistance, allocated by the Government of Canada under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program, will enable the recipient companies to achieve the objectives that they have set for themselves. The Government of Canada is committed to establishing close partnerships with Quebec businesses to support their efforts to innovate and increase their productivity and competitiveness, while contributing to the economic vitality of the regions, job creation and a better quality of life for citizens.
