Adaptiv Networks wants to break into new markets to accelerate growth
Gatineau, Quebec, March 4, 2020 – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
Adaptiv Networks specializes in the development and marketing of next-generation business connectivity solutions. It provides simple, economical and effective solutions for cloud connectivity to eliminate the pitfalls businesses experience in their digital transformation. The SME wants to accelerate its growth and enhance its performance and sales in North America. To achieve this, Adaptiv Networks has received a repayable contribution of $400,000 from CED to develop its specialized software (SD-WAN) and conduct commercialization and marketing activities.
New jobs for a qualified workforce
To take advantage of the qualified labour pool in the Outaouais region, the SME chose to open its head office in Gatineau. With the market of private business networks in full migration to the new technologies offered by SD-WAN, the SME needs these talented employees to support its growth.
This funding was announced today by Steven MacKinnon, Member of Parliament for Gatineau and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Services and Procurement, on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages. With the Government of Canada’s assistance, the business will be able to accelerate its growth and boost its performance and sales in Canada and the U.S. by focusing its efforts on commercial development. The support has also enabled the business to create eight jobs.
The Government of Canada’s mission is to accompany Quebec’s SMEs and regions into tomorrow’s economy. By helping Adaptiv Networks to position itself outside Quebec and in the U.S., CED is fostering the growth of a Quebec business and job creation in Gatineau.
“Adaptiv Networks’ project is in line with the Government of Canada’s priorities around enhancing the competitiveness of our businesses. I am delighted with this financial support from CED, which leverages the willingness of a leading Gatineau SME to grow and innovate by setting out to conquer new markets. Especially since this project has led to the creation of eight jobs right here, while also burnishing Canada’s reputation for quality specialized products!”
Steven MacKinnon, Member of Parliament for Gatineau and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Services and Procurement
“Helping businesses to grow and innovate so they can enhance their competitiveness and create good jobs is at the heart of our priorities. This is why we are providing our support to Adaptiv Networks, whose success is raising the profile of the entire Gatineau region and Canadian economy. We are here to support workers and Canadian SMEs; we are helping businesses to equip themselves adequately to remain competitive.”
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Member of Parliament for Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for CED
“Adaptiv Networks is working in a fast-growing field, where the competition is fierce. CED is a key partner for Adaptiv Networks, supporting our plans for hyper-growth to make the business a world leader in its field.”
Bernard Breton, President, Adaptiv Networks
The Honourable Mélanie Joly is the minister responsible for the six regional development agencies (RDAs), including CED.
Funds are being granted under CED’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program. This program targets entrepreneurs leveraging innovation to grow their businesses and enhance their competitiveness, as well as regional economic stakeholders helping to create an entrepreneurial environment conducive to innovation and growth for all, across all regions.
CED is a key federal partner in Quebec’s regional economic development. With its 12 regional business offices, CED is accompanying Quebec businesses, supporting organizations and regions into tomorrow’s economy.
