Matching the right people for the right job is vital to increasing productivity and growing Canada’s economy. The Government of Canada is investing in the potential of Canadian businesses developing innovative solutions to staffing so they can scale up, create jobs, and seize new economic opportunities to thrive well into the future.

Today, Adam van Koeverden, Member of Parliament for Milton, and Rechie Valdez, Member of Parliament for Mississauga−Streetsville, announced an investment of over $1 million for Jombone Inc. to accelerate the commercialization of its digital staffing and HR management platform, and expand its market reach. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

Jombone’s digital staffing platform leverages technological innovation including artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics, as well as industry know-how from professional recruiters to recruit, screen, and establish pools of suitable candidates. This innovative platform for employers and job-seekers is transforming how Canadians find jobs and companies find the right team members and manage their workforces. Furthermore, the system saves small- and medium-sized businesses money and time by hiring, paying and managing workers more efficiently through one system.

With this investment, the company will accelerate the development of its platform and adapt it for the U.S. market.  In addition, Jombone Inc. will create 26 highly-skilled jobs in the Mississauga region.

“Digital platforms like the staffing solutions offered by Jombone are transforming the way we connect job seekers with employers by enhancing efficiency, widening access to opportunities and fostering a flexible and inclusive workforce. With support from the Government of Canada, Jombone Inc. will create 26 jobs and help the company continue to develop its platform and grow, supporting both Canadian employers and job seekers.”
– The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario

“The Government of Canada is committed to supporting companies that help Canadians adapt to a digital future. Today’s announcement is important for our region to position itself as a tech and innovation leader, while also creating good jobs.”
– Adam Van Koeverden, Member of Parliament for Milton

“Jombone’s growth not only supports the thriving technology sector in southern Ontario, but it also aids Canadian businesses in reducing temporary staffing expenses. With this support, Jombone Inc. is contributing to a stronger southern Ontario economy, while also creating 26 new highly skilled jobs.”
– Rechie Valdez, Member of Parliament for Mississauga−Streetsville

“Businesses that embrace digital self-service staffing solutions, understand the emergence of higher and more volatile new norm costs, and rely on technology to gain control over their operations are more likely to sustain growth in the upcoming economic climate.”
