Festivals, events and tourist destinations draw visitors to Hamilton and southern Ontario, stimulate local economies

Today, the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario ( FedDev Ontario) and Member of Parliament for Hamilton West−Ancaster−Dundas, joined by Chad Collins, Member of Parliament for Hamilton East−Stoney Creek, and Lisa Hepfner, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth and Member of Parliament for Hamilton Mountain, announced a FedDev Ontario investment of more than $2.5 million, through the Tourism Growth Program, for 17 projects supporting festivals, events and tourist destinations in Hamilton and across southern Ontario.

This includes support for the following projects:
