Eyra Abraham is the founder of Lisnen, an AI-driven startup that helps people with hearing loss gain situational awareness of inaccessible sounds, such as fire alarms and door knocks. Drawing from lived experience, she founded Lisnen to ensure equal access at home, at work, and in the community.

Eyra also works as a public speaker and consultant, focusing on how accessibility operates in real-world systems. She is a member of the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council with the Government of Ontario and the CSA Group’s accessible customer service standard subcommittee. She is a former steering committee member for Start Access, an AI initiative with the American Association of People with Disabilities and a contributor to plain language standard with Accessibility Standards Canada.
