My name is Louis Belleau.

I have been a profoundly deaf person since birth. I also have a brother who is profoundly deaf. I am thrilled to work with you in the Canadian Association of the Deaf (CAD) team, the most important association for all deaf communities in Canada.

For a long time, I have been passionate about politics and the fight for our rights and defense. I have been actively involved with various associations. I am currently the president of the Deaf Community of Metropolitan Montreal (Communauté Sourde de Montréal Métropolitain (CCSMM)), which has nearly 400 members. Additionally, I serve as the treasurer at the Quebec network for the social inclusion of deaf and hard of hearing people (Réseau québécois pour l'inclusion sociale des personnes sourdes et malentendantes (ReQIS)). I have always made a promise to fight for the rights of our deaf community and meet their needs, in order to open the door to our world.

CAD is here for you, within our deaf and hard of hearing community, including those with Usher syndrome and the blind.
