About the Job Bank program

The Job Bank website and mobile app give job seekers access to job opportunities across Canada. They also give various job-searching tools. Job Bank supports job seekers in finding suitable employment and employers in finding suitable workers. The program also provides labour market information products. Those products enable users to explore the Canadian labour market and make informed decisions. Job Bank is administered as part of the National Employment Service.

The program targets:

  • Canadian employers
  • job seekers
  • students and youth
  • newcomers to Canada
  • members of underrepresented groups
  • employment or education service providers
  • researchers

This program is legislated by:

  • subsections 60(1) and (2) of the Employment Insurance Act
  • subsection 58(c) of the Employment Insurance Regulations (National Employment Service)
  • convention 88 of the International Labour Organization
