Sustainable Jobs Stream - Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy - Union Training and Innovation Program

This funding opportunity aims to support a series of projects that will develop and deliver green training for journeypersons and apprentices in Red Seal trades that are key to reducing Canada's emissions. Funded projects will contribute to building a robust trades and apprenticeship training ecosystem in Canada.

Application period:
June 20, 2024, to September 5, 2024, by 3:00 pm, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) Closed
Funding amount:
Up to $10,000,000 per project. Projects must end by March 31, 2030.
Who can apply:
  • Organizations that are located and operate in Canada (except in Quebec)
  • Unions representing workers in the Red Seal trades
  • Organizations managing training trust funds for unions representing workers in the Red Seal trades
  • The following organizations, if they have a partnership with a union representing workers in the Red Seal trade:
    • Not-for-profit organizations
    • For-profit organizations
    • Provincial, Territorial, and Municipal governments, agencies, institutions, and Crown Corporations
    • Indigenous organizations

We will hold information sessions to give an overview of this application process. You can take part online or by teleconference.
